Yummy veggie burger I made! It was fun and I definitely will make more for the summer. I want to turn my family veg :) but it d be very hard. I have been cooking so much new foods and loving it.
Today I made a veggie burger with a friend. It was yummy and satisfying.
Got the recipe from a cookbook
1 medium onion (around 1 cup or more)
1 cup oats
1 cup walnut (you can add other nuts if you d like)
2 TBL ketcup
1 egg
One thing is missing, olive oil. My friend didnt have any so we added a bit more of ketcup and water.
Chop onion and walnut finely. Other way is process the oats and walnut but not too finely. then add onion, egg, ketcup, salt, garlic salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, you can add any flavor you like. Mix them up and make sure the burger is moisture enough to make into patties. This recipe serves 4 and they were good sized, can be 6 small ones. Cook them on non stick skillet, I d have to find out about grilling next time. It takes about 5 minutes or more until the patties are lightly browned and EAT! Really fast recipe takes about 20 minutes.
The next time I will take a picture cooked burger, forgot to do that, was too hungry :)
